Recently at Pick me....

Just some of the pretty things I've made in the shop lately ....

Dotcom Mansion

Finally I have got round to posting the photos of the flowers we did for the Dotcom Christmas in Coatesville. Unfortunately my inquisitive toddler had put a big fingerprint on the lens of my camera beforehand and there is a nice big smudge through most of them.... But you get the general idea! I love the big tropical aquarium in the kitchen you can see in the background of some of them... Imagine cooking your dinner with Nemo swimming around you!

I picked up some cute lotus pods at the market today and couldn't help myself from putting them in everything!

The Dotcom Mansion

Super Exciting!!!

Next weekend is the Christmas in Coatesville house and Garden Tour where I am privileged enough to be able to design the flowers for the main Charity house and  the DOTCOM Mansion! The store I manage when I'm not doing wedding flowers at Vidabela is called Pickme flowers of Takapuna and they have kindly agreed to donate the flowers for the event. I have had a tour through the mansion to get the ball rolling and now comes the exciting task of planning the displays and putting it in action! Watch this space for photos and a glimpse at the mansion for your self!

Autumn Toned wedding flowers

This eccentic couple were married at the chelsea sugar factory with stunning views of the city behind them. The flowers were quite an unusual style with the bride asking for her bouquet to be held over one arm in a sheaf style and to have some flowers hanging down. She also wanted some willow weaved in and the colours were to be bright autumn tones. The finished product was quite beautiful and tied in with the theme of the day. The bridesmaids had similar bouquets only they were smaller and didn't have amaranthus hanging down. Flowers used here were green hanging amaranthus, chocolate anthiriums, parrot tulips, leucodenrons, and mango calla lilies. Photography by Ross Marchant Photography.

Delicate petals

This bride choose to have all white roses and lisianthus in her bridal bouquets and used brightly coloured pink satin ribbon to tie in with her pink theme. Bottom picture shows the 2 sizes of petals I can provide for guests and flower girls to throw, or perhaps a cost effective way to decorate your aisle or tables.

Usual suspects

Yet another wedding with lisianthus, roses and Hydrangea! It's a popular choice, but always a stunning one.
