Pretty in pink

Sarah tracked me down after I did wedding flowers for a friend of hers. Sarah and I were best buds when we were kids. We lost touch with each other and hadn't seen each other since we were 10 years old! So it was lovely to finally catch up over a wedding consultation for her own wedding. She sent me these gorgeous photos of her wedding captured by photographer Amanda Wignell, who's web page is www.awo.co.nz
Sarah had pink and white avalanche roses, white freesias, white lisianthus and mini cymbids in white with baby pink throat. The bouquets tied in with the beautiful full length brides maids dresses and I have to mention how gorgeous Sarah's dress was too! Love!

Gypsophila wedding bouquets

Gypsohila (or Baby's breath as it's commonly known) is making a comeback! But not in it's '80's' manner as we remember it, spread loosely with red roses! These days it's packed together in a tight cluster or framing lush roses like in this pretty wedding! The girls wore little clusters of gyp in their hair to tie in with the bouquets. It's a nice change and quite effective on mass.

Casual affair

Lisanthus and Hydrangea makes a simple, casual wedding posy. Mixed colours of lisianthus and lots of lush greenery in cute glass jars were made for the table centres.

Something a little different...

This wedding was a little different in that the brides maids posies were quite different to the brides. Deep blue hydrangea for the brides maids were to tie in with the royal blue shoes which were worn by all. The bride went for something softer with peach lisianthus and 'talea' roses, white hydrangea and 'brownie' roses.

Flowers from the meadow

These gorgeous wedding bouquets were made with many varieties of flowers to give a wild flower look and feel, as if they were picked from a meadow. The brides bouquet was mostly white with a touch of orange and green. The brides maids salmon, white and green.
The flowers were a mix of viburnum, peonies, roses, freesias, ornithogalins and angelica.

High Tea Wedding

You have got to love a wedding which is a little different! This gorgeous wedding was set in the middle of the day for an afternoon tea reception to follow! Cupcakes, sandwiches and beautifully presented treats were served on vintage plates and platters  next to jars and jugs of freshly picked flowers much like a high tea. The wedding posies were a stunning mix of parrot tulips, freesias, ranunculas, roses and lisianthus with lush lambs ear foliage in champagne and white. Photo's were taken by the amazing James and Ellie of Jel Photography, www.jelphoto.co.nz
